Communications
Communication is an essential part of everyday life. Communication is key in your professional and personal life. You can not NOT communicate.
There are common barriers to effective communication. This can range from the inability to listen, showing disinterest, a lack of transparency/trust and differences in styles.
The interesting part is that most people, when they think of communication, they think about verbal communication. Verbal communication is just one aspect of communication and usually conveying the least amount of information. According to the 7-38-55 rule (words, tonality and body) established by the psychologist Albert Mehrabian, the ratio of body language (non-verbal communication) to linquistic communication (words spoken) is roughly 55% to 7%. Which means that the majority of communication is conveyed through body language not just words.
What if understanding the role and capacity of the unconscious mind plays in human interaction can enable you to communicate super effectively. While the conscious mind is taking in 7 plus or minus 3 chunks of information (reason, logic and language), the unconscious mind is taking in millions! Much of this is through the non-verbal language channels and either creating or not creating the key elements needed to create trust, empathy, interest and likability. Which then translates to connections.
Understanding the fundamentals in NLP can help you communicate more effectively. Getting your message across, understanding others, gaining rapport and becoming a great conversationalist. All this can bring more enrichment in your life, both personally and professionally. Learn more about how to build rapport, use your observation skills, speak another person’s language and gain more interpersonally.
